IHCDA RFQ for Moving Forward 2.0 Now Available

Moving ForwardThe Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority (IHCDA) has released a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for the second round of “Moving Forward,” a program created in partnership with Energy Systems Network in 2015. The program is focused on providing energy efficient affordable housing and transportation opportunities that are designed to enhance quality of life for residents while also decreasing the cost of living for low- to moderate income individuals and families.

The mission of the “Moving Forward 2.0” program is to provide housing opportunities and self-sufficiency in our local communities. This will bring a sustainable quality of life for Hoosiers as well as provide safe, affordable, and good-quality housing in economically stable communities.

For “Moving Forward 2.0,” IHCDA seeks two Community Action Agencies (CAAs) to partner with developers to participate in the 2017 Rental Housing Tax Credit General Set-aside program. Responses to the RFQ are requested on or before July 8, 2016.

CAAs will work with subject matter experts to create both an energy efficient affordable housing development equipped with transportation options for residents and a comprehensive plan aimed to break the cycle of generational poverty.
